The purpose of this information memo is to inform you of Capt-Air’s commitments to the protection of personal information. It is intended to help you better understand Capt-Air’s practices regarding the collection, use and/or disclosure and retention of your personal information.
- Why do we collect your personal information?
Capt-Air collects only your personal information required to open your account, prepare your quotation, invoicing, payment, delivery and installation of the products ordered and perform maintenance. Capt-Air uses this information only for these purposes. - How do we collect it ?
Capt-Air collects this personal information during any communication (by phone, email, via the contact form available on the website) and when signing the contract for the purchase and/or installation of products. - Who has access to your information ?
Only sales and accounting department employees who need your personal information to perform their dutie. - Who do we share your information with outside Capt-Air?
As general rule, Capt-Air must obtain your consent to share your personal information with a third party. However, in the course of its activities, it is possible that Capt-Air may disclose it to third parties such as service providers or partners in accordance with the Act “Protection of personal information in the private sector”, when such communication is necessary for the exercise of a mandate or the performance of a service or business contract entrusted by Capt-Air. This may include, but is not limited to the following:- IT and data analysis service providers
- External advisors (lawyers, accountants, etc.)
- For how long and how we store it ?
Your personal information is stored in a restricted area and/or on our password-protected servers. It is kept for a period of 7 years after the last entry in your file. - Can you access your personal information or withdraw your consent ?
At any time, you may request access to your personal information, to rectify it, to withdraw your consent to its use and/or disclosure, or to lodge a complaint regarding the protection of your information.
